1961
Pittsburgh’s Civic Arena was dedicated on September 17, 1961, when thousands watched its enormous stainless-steel roof retract to reveal the skyline. The Ice Capades followed as the arena’s first major attraction. This opening souvenir carries a miniature piece of that very Pittsburgh spectacle.
