1940s; exact production year unknown
The name on this tiny glove belongs to Pittsburgh boxer Fritzie Zivic, who took the world welterweight title from the legendary Henry Armstrong on October 4, 1940, then beat Armstrong again in their January 1941 rematch. The glove’s exact maker is still a mystery, but its namesake places it squarely in Zivic’s championship-era fame.
