1963–1969 plate era; exact tag year unknown
This miniature California plate belongs to Disabled American Veterans’ IdentoTag story. Beginning in 1941, DAV mailed tiny versions of motorists’ license plates as a fundraiser; attached to keys, the tags could help lost keys find their way home through DAV. California used the black-and-yellow plate style from 1963 through 1969.
